Michigan Tabs Rodriguez as Head Coach

The University of Michigan has replaced Lloyd Carr with West Virginia's Rich Rodriguez in a hire that has the potential to put the Wolverines back on top of the Big 10.

Rodriguez brings his high powered spread offense to Ann Arbor which is a funny twist as many said Carr's inability to stop the spread offense was his biggest weakness. As the saying goes, "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" and that is precisely what Michigan has done. This move will sure make Ohio State nervous as the last 2 teams that ran the spread absolutely torn them a new one.

The deal is worth a reported $2.5 million per year making Rodriguez one of the top paid coaches in the country. It is unknown at this time whether or not Rodriguez will bring his staff with him but one thing is for sure and that is that the Wolverines got the big splash that their fans were looking for.

That is a fantastic picture of Rodriguez. That guy looks like a two bit hustler in the picture.
