UGA 26 BAMA 23

WOW!!! Talk about a game that brought back memories. Five years ago, the Dawgs won a game at Auburn in the final seconds on a play very similar to the one they scored on to win the game last night in overtime. Only the protagonists have changed. This time it was Matthew Stafford and Mikey Henderson instead of David Greene and Michael Johnson. Could this be the play that restores Georgia football to their normal standards. The Dawgs still don't control their own destiny thanks to the loss at home two weeks ago to the Ol' Ball Coach, but any educated observer would believe that South Carolina will probably lose another conference game before the SEC season comes to a close. There are still plenty of scary games for the Dawgs on the schedule, specifically the Florida game in Jacksonville, but last night's win puts the Dawgs in position to make a run at their fourth appearance in the SEC Championship in Coach Mark Richt's seven years at the helm.

One final thought: Mark Richt is now 23-3 in opponents home stadiums in SEC Games.
How ridiculous is that?
